Gerald Anderson Has a New House and a New Leading Lady

ABS-CBN’s homegrown heartthrob Gerald Randolph Anderson has been blessed in the year 2010. Having accomplished a lot of projects which include commercials, TV shows and movies, he now has his new house. Just recently, the said house in General Santos which is his gift to his mother Evangeline had a ceremonial blessing. Kim Chiu, Gerald’s real life sweetheart, even surprised Gerald’s mom by gracing the blessing of their new house.

Following the announcement of his pairing with Sarah Geronimo, Gerald Anderson will have another new leading lady in the person of GMA 7’s Starstruck 4 Ultimate Sweetheart Jewel Mische. Jewel, a former talent of GMA-7, was announced as the newest onscreen partner to the young hunk-actor during the ABS-CBN Christmas party for the press last December 3 wherein the Kapamilya network also unveiled their offerings for 2011.

This formally confirms that Jewel is now a Kapamilya after weeks of speculation. The new tandem will be tested via the series “Bagwis.” This is the actor’s first project without perennial onscreen partner Kim Chiu, after they were paired on the 2010 teleserye, “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo.” Kim Chiu, in an interview, warmly welcomed Jewel in the Kapamilya station by wishing her luck as she hopes that her tandem with Gerald will be a success.

“Bagwis” is a comics series which became popular in 1989. The movie version starred former action star Chuck Perez. The story revolves around a man who was abandoned by his parents and who grew up blind due to an accident. He was adopted by a priest and was endowed with super power to transform himself to “Bagwis”, a superhero with the wings of an angel and a sword and shield which he uses against evil forces.
Apart from “Bagwis,” ABS-CBN is also set to launch its adaptation of the Korean drama series “Green Rose,” as well as several reality and game franchise shows like “Pinoy Big Brother Season 4,” “The Price Is Right,” “Junior Master Chef Philippines,” and “Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition.”
