Lintang Bedol to be Detained for 6 Months - Indirect Contempt Case (Photo)

Lintang Bedol, the former election supervisor in Maguindanao is set to be detained for 6 months for an "Indirect Contempt" case starting today. Bedol did not appear after consecutive summonses for questionable election results in the province. Lintang hid in public for approximately four (4) years.


Bedol was sent to COMELEC before he was transferred to PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame. He is the number 1 accused for the manipulation of votes in Maguindanao during the 2007 presidential elections in favor of the former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri. Since then, senator Zubiri denied the he is involved in the election fraud.

Meanwhile, Lintang Bedol is not yet giving any statement regarding the case.
