Magnitude 6.2 Earthquake (July 26, 2011) in Luzon and Manila

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake (PhilVocs) struck different areas of Luzon and Metro Manila on July 26, 2011 (1:15 am). According to USGS record, it was a 5.9 magnitude earthquake.

USGS recorded that the epicenter of the earthquake was 102 km west-northwest of Metro Manila; 24 km northwest of Olongapo City; 54 km west-southwest of Angeles City in Pampanga; and 108 km west-southwest of Cabanatuan City while Philvocs said that its 13 kilometers northwest of Iba, Zambales.

Similar reports mentioned that Clark, Pampanga, Quezon City and Manila felt the Intensity 4 quake. Intensity 2 was felt at Taguig, Mandaluyong, Pasig and Makati area while intensity 2 in Baguio City.

The earthquake dated July 26, 2011 was also felt in Rizal, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Laguna and Cavite.
