Working hard girls: The Saturdays top up their tans by the pool... but aren't they supposed to be filming their new video?

Girl group The Saturdays have flown to Los Angeles to film their new music video.

But it appears the five-piece aren't quite ready for the hard work to start just yet as they were spotted making the most of the California sunshine yesterday.

Frankie Sandford, Una Healy and Mollie King were showing off their enviable figures in skimpy bikinis as they topped up their tans at their hotel.

Essex girl Sandford, 22, displayed her athletic figure in a frilly black string bikini, while Irish singer Healy, 29, chose a black and white halterneck number.

Both women had pierced belly-buttons, while Sandford's tattoo 'sunshine 'n' showers' was clearly visible along the nape of her neck.

Blonde bandmate King, 23, opted for a Fifties-inspired look in her white halterneck bikini.

The good-looking trio spent several hours by the pool working on their tan, floating around on inflatables and sipping cocktails.

But clearly not wanting to 'switch off' and relax, King and Healy were spotted chatting away on their mobile phones.

And Sandford has swapped the traditional poolside hobby of flicking through a magazine for reading on an iPad.

Their bandmates Rochelle Wiseman and Vanessa White gave the pool a miss, instead being photographed shopping in nearby Hollywood.

Missing out on all the fun were the band members' boyfriends, who are stuck back in England.

Healy has been dating rugby player Ben Foden for more than two years, while Sandford is a new addition to the WAG contingent since she started going out with West Ham footballer Wayne Bridge in December.

However, former model King is newly-single after splitting from boyfriend Andy Brown in February after more than a year together.

The Saturdays landed in Los Angeles on Monday to film their new video for the upcoming single from their fourth album.

However, none of them has revealed what the name of the new track is going to be.

So far, they've just hinted that it will a 'different' sound for the pop outfit, with Wiseman describing the Steve Mac-produced song as being 'fierce' and saying 'you guys are in for a treat'.

The band shot the video for their last single Higher in LA too.
