Halloween is usually the last Saturday before November 1. This year is a perfect time for Halloween, because Saturday is October 31, 2009. But what time does trick or treating actually start? Kids will be running around the neighborhood in Halloween costumes, looking for some candies, chocolates, and other stuff for treat. Here are some important safety tips to make sure Halloween is safe and fun.

Daylight Saving Time this year happens after the kids have finished with their trick or treating, and are fast asleep in their beds. That’s good news, as it will stay light one hour later, leaving more time for kids to roam the streets going from house to house looking for candy in the dark.
So, What Time is Trick or Treating?
A good time for trick or treating would be between 4PM to 6PM for children eight years and under, getting them home in time for dinner and bedtime.
For children 8 – 12 years old, anytime between 6PM to 8PM is good, provided the neighborhood is safe and adult supervision is provided.
Kids over 12 have a little more time allowance, depending on the situations and adult guidance.
