Azkals football team wins over Mongolia Blue Wolves at 2-0

The Philippine football enthusiasts are on high as the Azkals team beat the Mongolian Blue Wolves in the score of 2-0 at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City on February 9, 2011. The football match is part of the first leg of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup.

A leg trick made by Emilio Caligdong through his Mongolian opponent caused him to initially score at 42nd minute of the match. The audience went wild with their yells as Phil Younghusband made the second victorious hit at the 92nd minute of the clash.

The game was aired by Studio 23 and will be replayed at SKY Cable Channel 34 on Thursday, February 10, 2011 and on Sunday at about 6:00 in the afternoon.



Aside from television viewers, the game was witnessed by flock of approximately 18, 000 Pinoy live football supporters from Bacolod City and nearby provinces.

According to local news, the Philippine football team was at the 152nd place while Mongolian team was at the 182nd.
